Ever conscious of the effect of running a business on the environment, W D Joinery have teamed up with the local farmer on site to reuse waste materials to produce hot water and heat during the cold winter months, with the aim to be environment friendly joiners.
A significant investment, the system burns old waste, sawdust and off-cuts of wood. During the summer months, the system is also put to good use, drying the farmer’s corn. We are pleased to say that we no longer burn gas or diesel at our workshops.
Above are the sawdust briquettes we use to heat our workshop, beside this are the briquette maker, boiler and heater which are helping us contribute to the environment by burning these instead of chemicals.
